Master programme - Pioneering Ministry and Fresh Expressions

The programme will provide an opportunity to explore in more depth the areas of ministry leadership, evangelism, pioneer ministries and fresh expressions. The goal is to develop a critical and advanced look at a variety of theological schools and practices, bringing their implications into the reality of a post-Christian world, keeping in mind the mission field that each student is involved.

In the European reality, the traditional concept of a church needs to be redefined. How should we do church in a post-Christian society?

With this Master, Junior will be able to look more closely at this question and seek for Biblical models to apply in the Irish context, aiming to develop a new concept, but with the same essence. The intention is to develop a pioneering ministry project to be applied in the mission field, taking into account the new mission statement of OM International - "We want to see vibrant communities of followers of Jesus, especially among the least reached."

This academic training will also contribute to the preparation for pastoral ministry, whether in Ireland or back in Brazil.

Since 1883, Cliff College has trained people to work in evangelism and Christian ministry.

Although historically a Methodist seminary, the college currently serves students from a wide variety of denominations, with an emphasis on evangelical Christians.

The purpose of Cliff College is to teach evangelical theology, in its biblical origin and its relationship to contemporary life and culture. It has a high standard of excellence in the courses it offers so that students are equipped for the missionary and evangelistic service.

There has always been an emphasis on Spirit-filled life, evangelism and holiness, both in teaching and in practice. As a result, the vital issues facing the church and society are constantly being addressed.

Cliff College is situated in the heart of Peak National Park, one of the most beautiful parts of northern England, about ten miles from Chesterfield.

Cliff College is an institution validated by the University of Manchester and holds a high quality teaching certification, QAA, issued by the UK education board.
